This lounge chair and ottoman is either by or inspired by Gerard van den Berg, and produced by Leolux of the Netherlands. It is a well-executed example of the organic, body-hugging leather furniture for which van den Berg became known. The chair wraps the sitter in a continuous sculpted leather shell with a high curved back, deep seat, and flowing arms, all set on four splayed black ball feet that give the piece a light, almost hovering presence. The ottoman follows the same design vocabulary with matching feet. The cognac leather is rich in color and soft to the touch.

The chair measures 40.5 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 28.5 inches tall, with a seat height of 17.75 inches and arm height of 26.5 inches. The ottoman measures 26.5 by 17.5 inches wide by 15 inches tall. Condition is very good with a small scuff to the right arm (shown in closeup) and minor white paint spots on the ottoman (also as shown in the photographs.)
