Description

Original patinated "Butaque" leather and cypress wood lounge chair, made in Mexico circa 1947. Attributed to Clara Porset. Marked "Made in Mexico".

Strong, elegant, patinated leather seat and back rest. Bold, dynamic lines characterize the sculptural significance of this chair, an example of the mestizo culture in Mexico.
