Trillo, a self-taught painter, was born in Alcoy, Spain in 1952. His rich, dramatic and skilled technique of painting is probably an outgrowth of his long career in textile design. At the present time, he solely dedicates himself to painting, which is resulting in a style that has great depth and expression. One can see the diversity of the same theme, and Trillo has also developed a use of color and brushwork technique that is reminiscent of that used in the Mediterranean. For the past five years Trillo has lived and worked in the Andalucia area of Spain which has influenced him to a great extent. This influence is clearly evident in the dramatic yet romantic depiction of his lush and textured landscapes. Trillo has exhibited in many individual as well as collective exhibitions throughout Spain. In addition, he has received the "Mencion Honorifical Artistica de la Escuela de Bellas Artes" in Alcoy. He was also selected together with two other artists as the artists for the representation of the Valencian Community for the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia.
