About Archimede Seguso
Archimede Seguso (1909–1999) is celebrated as one of the greatest Venetian glass masters of the 20th century. Born into a family of glassblowers, Seguso trained at the historic Venini glassworks before founding his own studio in the 1940s. Renowned for his technical mastery and innovative techniques, he revitalized Murano glassmaking traditions with bold creativity. His works often feature sommerso (layered glass), vivid color blends, gold aventurine, and organic sculptural forms.
