These are a pair of antique, fan back, Pennsylvania Windsor chairs . They have nicely hand turned spindle backs, legs and stretchers. The backs are topped by lovely crests with up turned ears. The spindle legs are attached to a one piece seat going completely through and being affixed in place with wedges.The seats are scooped out making them very comfortable to sit in. They do show some surface cracks in the seats from wood shrinkage due to age. They have a beautiful patina. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description.
