Two Medieval Illuminated Manuscript Leaves, Book of Hours Type. Includes: A medieval illuminated miniature on vellum, depicting a devotional scene (likely the Virgin and Child with a kneeling figure), cut from an original manuscript and mounted onto a later paper sheet. The miniature retains its original gold ground and painted floral and insect border. Second manuscript on vellum features a foliate border with strawberries and gilt details. Also includes early printed hand colored book of hours leaf with woodcut figural borders. First page approximately 6.12H x 4.25W in. Clipped manuscript approximately 4.15H x 2.80W in.
