Title: Oil painting Buckwheat stubble Oksana Kalenyuk Description: No.AAA4688The oil painting on canvas titled "Buckwheat Stubble" is a vivid and dynamic representation of a rural landscape in the aftermath of harvest. With bold impasto brushstrokes and a striking contrast of warm and cool tones, the artist captures the essence of the countryside, where rich red-brown fields stretch under an expansive sky, and the land bears the traces of hard work and seasonal change. This painting is not just a depiction of a field but a celebration of agricultural traditions, the resilience of the land, and the deep connection between people and nature. The foreground is dominated by the deep reds and burnt oranges of the harvested buckwheat fields, creating an intense warmth that contrasts beautifully with the cool greens and deep purples interspersed throughout the landscape. The thick texture of the paint gives the earth a tactile quality, emphasizing the rugged, uneven surface left behind by the reaping of crops. Patches of dark green foliage and hints of blue add variation to the composition, suggesting remnants of plant life and the natural renewal of the soil. In the middle ground, a group of villagers, painted in bright clothing with dashes of turquoise, red, and white, are seen working the land. Their figures are small yet expressive, created with rapid, gestural strokes that convey movement and purpose. The presence of these laborers adds a human element to the scene, emphasizing the relationship between people and the cycles of the earth. Their bent postures suggest the meticulous work of collecting the remaining crop or preparing the soil for the next planting season. Beyond the fields, the composition gently rises toward a line of tall, dark green trees, which act as a natural border between the cultivated land and the sky. Their vertical forms contrast with the horizontal expanses of the fields, adding a sense of depth and structure to the painting. The trees, with their expressive, windswept branches, create a dynamic balance within the composition, framing the distant village houses nestled among them.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Buckwheat stubble"* ARTISTS: Oksana Kalenyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: Photos provide accurate information about the product.About the artists: Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
