Title: Oil painting Evening silence in the field Oksana Kalenyuk Description: No.AAA5107The oil painting on Cardboard titled "Evening Silence in the Field" is a vivid, emotionally charged landscape that captures the almost surreal stillness of nature as day succumbs to night. With each textured stroke of the palette knife and bold layer of impasto, the artist transports the viewer to a quiet field where haystacks stand like silent sentinels under a dramatic sky that pulses with color and depth. The first and most striking element is the sky, painted in rich shades of magenta and violet, with streaks of blue and pink that seem to vibrate with energy. It is not a peaceful twilight in the traditional sense, but a charged moment of transition—when the final breath of daylight clashes with the advancing shadows. The horizon glows in a shocking pink hue, casting a surreal backdrop that evokes the dreamlike feeling of nature suspended in thought. In the foreground, clusters of haystacks rise from the field like living creatures, their rounded forms rendered in flaming oranges, hot reds, and deep purples. These fiery tones suggest the last warm touch of sunlight on their weathered surfaces, now cooling into the indigo hush of night. The impasto technique enhances the materiality of the hay—each mound thick with texture, as though you could feel the rough straw beneath your fingers. They are not merely objects, but symbols of labor, rhythm, and the quiet dignity of rural life. The field itself is a complex tapestry of greens and earthy browns, shot through with bursts of cobalt blue and violet shadow. Rather than aiming for realism, the artist embraces a palette that conveys emotional atmosphere over literal light. These saturated colors dance across the surface like whispered stories in the wind—traces of footsteps, rustling grasses, and silent memories held by the land. As your eye moves across the canvas, it becomes clear that there are no human figures present, and yet the painting feels deeply inhabited. The haystacks and the field itself speak of those who worked here during the day—their presence now implied, lingering like the warmth that clings to a surface after the sun has vanished. This absence is powerful, for it sharpens the sense of stillness that defines the painting’s mood.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Evening silence in the field"* ARTISTS: Oksana Kalenyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, cardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product About the artists: Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
