44 RF caliber, 23" barrel, S/N 3378. Has an original 900 yard rear barrel sight. Engraved by Samuel J Hoggson, the left side has standing stag with mixed floral designs and border designs. The barrel has been cleaned many years ago and has re aged to a nice plum brown. The frame is untouched with nice patina. Still retains traces of gilt on the bottom right edge. Sharp and crisp edges. The markings on the top of the barrel are good and readable. **The stock has been cleaned and re varnished with a flat on the bottom of the stock from the bottom tang to the toe of the buttplate, period done. The bore will clean to better, but still displays sharp rifling. Some of the screws have been replaced. The lever and hammer have a nice patina brown look. Overall this rifle shows or displays well. A fine example of a real factory engraved Henry rifle.
