This is an antique lithograph titled "The Conway Tubular Bridge and Castle" by artist George Hawkins after a drawing by George Pickering. About 1848. The great castle fell a victim to Cromwell. But is now retried to its former grandeur. George Pickering (1794–1857) was well-regarded for his North Wales landscapes. This specific view, "The Conway Tubular Bridge and Castle" (1848), is historically significant as it captures the early industrial era of the railway.
