Title: Oil painting Morning bouquet of poppies Oksana Ivanyuk Description: NoKalen 1585The oil painting on canvas titled "Morning Bouquet of Poppies" bursts forth with a raw, expressive energy that captures both the fleeting fragility and the bold presence of blooming poppies. Rendered in thick, impasto strokes, this still life transcends traditional representation, transforming a simple vase of flowers into a dramatic explosion of color, texture, and emotion. At the heart of the composition lies a bouquet dominated by vibrant red poppies, their petals rich and velvety, layered with confident swaths of crimson, burgundy, and maroon. The artist applies paint with palpable vigor - each petal seems sculpted rather than painted, standing out in physical relief from the canvas. Amid the sea of red, splashes of white flowers emerge, their delicate shapes offering contrast, lightness, and rhythm, like scattered beams of morning sunlight brushing against velvet fabric. The flowers are cradled in a vase that blends into the chaotic energy of the composition. The vessel itself is barely defined - its form merging with the sea of colors and textures - but it anchors the floral abundance, suggesting a grounding amidst the vibrant frenzy. The base of the bouquet is soaked in rich earth tones: burnt sienna, chocolate brown, and deep ochre, which bleed into one another and flow downward, enhancing the organic and unrestrained quality of the painting. Behind the bouquet, the background offers another dimension - an abstract play of vertical strokes in vivid hues: greens, pinks, yellows, and purples streak upward, like morning sunlight filtered through a curtain or reflected off a wall. These vertical elements don't merely recede; they pulse and shimmer, interacting with the blooms in the foreground. The result is a multi-layered visual experience, where still life meets abstraction, and reality is infused with dreamlike energy.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Morning bouquet of poppies"* ARTISTS: Oksana Ivanyuk* SIZE: 55x65 cm/'21.65x25.59 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: Photos provide accurate information about the product.About the artist: Oksana Ivanyuk was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
