Title: Oil painting A gift of red tulips Oksana Ivanyuk Description: NoKalen 1588The oil painting on canvas titled "A Gift of Red Tulips" radiates with the vibrant energy of freshly cut blooms, transforming a simple bouquet into a powerful celebration of life, color, and emotion. With thick, expressive brushstrokes and an unmistakable palette knife texture, the artist captures the immediacy of a heartfelt gesture - the giving of flowers - while infusing it with dynamic visual rhythm and emotional resonance. At the center of the composition, the bouquet bursts with a profusion of red tulips, their petals open and exuberant. The tulips, rendered in saturated tones of crimson, scarlet, and deep maroon, dominate the upper half of the canvas, drawing the viewer's gaze into their velvety depths. The impasto technique brings an almost sculptural quality to each bloom - the paint layered thickly and confidently, with petal edges curling, overlapping, and folding into one another in rich texture. These red tulips are not shy or gentle; they are bold and proud, each bloom asserting its presence in the composition. Among the passionate reds, contrasting yellow tulips emerge like rays of sunlight, breaking up the intensity with moments of joy and surprise. Their soft golden hues are imbued with warmth and balance, creating a harmony within the visual cacophony. The occasional orange tulip - blending between red and yellow - acts as a bridge in the color story, providing a natural transition between the dominant tones. Beneath the tulips, a cascade of smaller white blossoms, possibly narcissus or apple blossoms, adds a lyrical counterpoint to the fiery bouquet above. These blooms, touched with hints of violet, cream, and orange, seem to shimmer in their delicacy. Though painted with the same textured strokes, they offer a lightness - a breath - softening the dense visual weight of the tulips. Their downward drift introduces a sense of gravity and groundedness, rooting the bouquet in the vase and anchoring it in space. The bouquet sits in a sturdy brownish-orange vessel, its form simple yet reliable. The vase does not call attention to itself; rather, it serves as a quiet foundation for the exuberance above. The way the artist treats its surface - with variations of sienna, umber, and ochre - adds just enough interest to suggest earthy realism without distracting from the main subject.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "A gift of red tulips"* ARTISTS: Oksana Ivanyuk* SIZE: 60x70 cm/'23.62x27.55 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: Photos provide accurate information about the product.About the artist: Oksana Ivanyuk was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
