Pair of Gilt and Wrought Iron Sconces, Neoclassical Style

Description

A striking pair of gilt and wrought iron wall sconces, crafted in the Neoclassical style. Each sconce features an elaborately scrolled and pierced backplate, finished in a combination of darkened wrought iron and distressed gilt. The lower section of each sconce is adorned with acanthus leaf motifs, housing three candle arms that gracefully curve outwards, terminating in drip pans and candle holders. Original wax candles are present in various states of disrepair. These sconces evoke the grandeur of 18th and early 19th-century European design, suitable for adding a touch of classic elegance to an interior.
