Description: Plan of Bedford House, Covent Garden, etc taken about 1690 from a drawing in the possession of John Charles Crowle'. The plan shows the area around Covent Garden Piazza and down to the Strand in about 1690, including St. Paul's Church and the site of today's Royal Opera House. The map is orientated towards the north west. It is bounded on the left (south west) side by Bedford Street and on the right (north east) by Charles Street (now Bow Street). It includes copious notes on properties, monuments, past residents and general history by Smith, John Thomas. Published Published 30 May 1809. Antique historical city map plan. Size 25 x 32 cm | 9.5 x 12.5 inches. Condition: Good; suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
