Insets of Harwich harbour, the Yarmouth Sands and the coast from Sunderland to Blyth on an enlarged scale, including the Tyne inland to Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The "Newcastle Trade" refers to the export of coal to Londo. Coal was being exported from Newcastle by 1250, and by 1350 the burgesses received a royal licence to export coal.
