This fascinating piece of social history shows the pattern of settlement in 1961 of Irish immigrants to London. The text briefly documents the history of immigration from Ireland to London, notes that much of the Irish immigrant population is concentrated in north west London, and observes that this may be related to proximity to the "two railway termini that serve as their point of entry into the country". One of these is obviously Paddington (for those reaching Great Britain via Fishguard), the other presumably Euston (for those arriving via Liverpool or Holyhead), though there is also a cluster close to Victoria Station (for those arriving via Southampton).
