Grade II* listed building, dated 1686, with symmetrical 1: 7: 1 façade of two storeys with second floor in roof space. Originally residential property, Dr. Fuller, pharmacist, 1688 to 1734, later owned by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Francis Austen, brother of Jane Austen, and descendants. A physician’s townhouse and garden rather than a landed estate. Current Use: Knocker & Foskett – solicitors . [Assumed to be Thomas Badeslade and Johannes Kip or John Harris]. Published 1719.
