Description
This is a handsome example of late 19th-century American craftsmanship, featuring a robust Eastlake influence with its characteristic incised carvings and turned spindles. The piece is crowned with a substantial, highly figured rouge marble top—a classic hallmark of the Victorian parlor. The base is constructed from solid walnut with fine burl veneers adorning the apron, accented by decorative drop finials at the corners. Overall, the piece presents well with an aged patina; however, there is one decorative fretwork element from the lower stretcher that has separated into two pieces and requires re-attachment. Minor surface abrasions and typical age-related wear to the wood finish are present, though the marble remains structurally sound with no apparent cracks. H 31", W 30.25", D 21.25". Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available post auction.
