This GORGEOUS cotton 1870's / 1880's Pennsylvania Mennonite stars quilt is treadle machine pieced and hand quilted, with wonderful blue, green, chestnut brown, and cheddar solid fabrics.
It measures 80" X 80" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
The hand quilting is superb, with straight line and clam shell designs quilted throughout at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch.
The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are the same deep early brown cotton print, and the batting is thin.
This WELL EXECUTED 19th century PA Mennonite COLLECTOR'S QUILT in REMARKABLE CONDITION is even more impressive in real life -- it would make a terrific wall hanging!
