This BEAUTIFUL cotton Paragon eagle quilt is all hand appliqued and hand quilted, with an elaborate floral vine border, and 13 stars on the eagle, representing the original 13 colonies. The quilt is signed "MKB" and dated "1964" in hand embroidery.
It measures 66" X 98" and is excellent condition, with a couple of small, inconspicuous spots and no wear.
There is hand quilting around the applique and in grid and straight line designs in the background, all at 8 stitches to the inch (counting one side only).
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is the same green calico fabric used in the interior, and the batting is thin.
The WONDERFUL PATRIOTIC DESIGN, VIBRANT COLORS, and GREAT CONDITION make this vintage COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out -- it would make a terrific wall hanging!
