This Antique Brass Pan Balance Scale of Justice is in excellent condition. It will polish up nicely if you so desire. It has a pad on the bottom to prevent scuffing (that could be replaced with a different material). The scale needs a counterweight of a dime on the right pan to work as a balance scale. It measures 17 3/8" x 16" x 5 1/2". The scale has marking from 1-4 - so if you have a known weight on the left, then I assume it would tell you the item on the right was 1 to 4 times heavier. It is a sensitive scale, not designed for heavy weights.
