This is a very rustic stringer of five hand carved fish. They are attached together to a chain; each with
a large clasp. The fish are carved partially to exposed wood with the rest having the bark left
attached. They range in size from about 8 1/2" long by 1 1/2" high by 1" wide for the smallest, to
about 13" long by 2" wide and high for the largest. They all have applied eyes and are finished with a
light varnish. They were all found in the North Carolina Mountains and had been hanging in a
collector's cabin for decoration. The fish were likely made around the 1940's, and are in excellent
condition.
