This DAZZLING silk and cotton crazy tied quilt is all hand pieced, with elaborate hand embroidered accents, and a rare design variation, combining crazy, barn raising log cabin, and fan elements. A pieced prairie point border surrounds the quilt.
It measures 36" X 49" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small age spots, and 2-3 pieces that have thinned (but not shattered) in places. The quilt is unusually strong and sturdy overall, especially for an early silk piece.
The back is an early brown fabric, and the batting is thin.
This VIBRANT 19th century miniature COLLECTOR'S QUILT would make a terrific wall hanging!
