The letter, to Alfred Littleton, reads "With this I send the circular letter I have addressed to the people who wrote about Richter. I have an awful chill & I see no chance of going to Canada the Doctor comes through late to give a final report but I feel that I should not be allowed to go. Will you or Clayton take in hand Forsyth's letter? The position is that I have pencilled off the week 15th to 21st October October for the Turin people of whom we have heard nothing since a long time. I feel quite disposed to drop Turin unless you think I am unduly bound to them. If I am not so bound I could take on the .... &..... Concerts but the terms must be settled. I have arranged to conduct for the L& O on Oct 23 their 1st concert & five others. I have a pleasant letter from Sir A. Bigge saying H.M. the King is pleased that I should dedicate the Symphony to the memory of the late King Edward it was intended to dedicate it to him", four pages, 8vo, Plas Gwyn, 17 march 1911.
