Stawell Ball (Robert) Story of the Heavens, signed on front endpaper "Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII", gilt tooled morocco, marbled endpapers, label affixed to front pastedown reading "1895. Prize for proficiency in all subjects, the gift of C.H. Lowe Esq. awarded to Ernest Axton", Cassell & Co, 1893.
Provenance:
The lot is accompanied by a letter of provenance form the vendor, who received the book as a gift from Ernest Axton and got is subsequently signed by Cernan outside the Science Museum in South Kensington, May 2002.
