A vintage Pearl Steel-Shell Snare Drum signed and dated in black felt tip by Charlie Watts ("Charlie Watts, '96"), wear consistent with age and use.
Dimensions:diameter 16"/40.5cm
Provenance:
Property of the owner and director of Bridges Wharf Studio, Battersea, London. In the vendor's own words "In May 1996, Charlie Watts and Brian May collaborated for a Nordoff Robbin’s music therapy charity single under the project name of Rock Therapy. The rehearsals for the cover version of “Reaching Out” were held a Bridges Wharf Studio in Battersea, London. During a break in rehearsals, I personally asked Charlie if he would kindly sign this house vintage Pearl snare drum (circa 1970). As the true gentleman Charlie was, he took the pen, twiddled it like a drum stick, smiled and signed it while I held it for him".
