
Description
A wonderful and unusual 28" sword cane featuring a carved bone skeleton handle surmounted by a compass in the top of the head. The skeleton displays small jeweled eyes, and the cane is further decorated with two bone skull-and-crossbones and additional ornate collar detailing. The shaft features a leather overlay, adding to the cane’s distinctive character and craftsmanship. Provenance includes the Estate of Kenn and Pat Hodge. Good overall condition with scratching and patches of missing leather along the shaft. There are four cracks present in the bamboo shaft, along with some dirt and typical aging to the bone skeleton, skull, and skull-and-crossbones detailing. All noted wear appears consistent with regular daily usage. Length: 35". Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 35" Length.
