"London Restored or Sir John Evelyn's Plan" refers to a 1666 proposal for rebuilding London after the Great Fire, featuring a grid of wide, straight streets, grand squares, and uniform facades, with the goal of creating a more orderly and beautiful city.
Although the plan, like other similar proposals, was not fully adopted due to complexities like land ownership and cost, Evelyn's ideas did influence some later developments.
