This beautiful Japanese woodblock print titled 'Spider Plant (スパイタープラント)' is a notable work by the recognized artist Tsuchiya Rakuzan. The print is created in the Shin-hanga style and measures approximately 11 1/2 x 17 inches. It features significant age-related toning that gives it a tan/yellow appearance throughout. Notably, the right edge is rough and frayed, indicating it was cut from a larger portfolio. There are minor edge wear and corner softness evident on the other three sides, while the reverse side is blank and similarly toned. This piece is part of the esteemed 'Rakuzan KachŠGafu' series, a collection of 100 beautiful bird-and-flower prints that were published between 1929 and 1933. Rakuzan is celebrated for his detailed and lifelike compositions, making this a significant addition to any collection.
Artist Bio: Tsuchiya Rakuzan (土屋楽山, 1896-1976) was a distinguished Japanese artist active during the TaishÅ and early ShÅwa periods, renowned for his contributions to the Shin-hanga movement. He is best known for his large-format kacho-e (bird-and-flower pictures), with 'Rakuzan KachÅ Gafu' being his most famous work.

**Important** Live Auctioneers has their own shipping program. We find it to be very expensive and slow. This is the rate you see advertised when bidding. We do not recommend using them. If you do use them you must checkout via Live Auctioneers and choose LiveShip at checkout. If you pay via Live Auctioneers and want our In-house shipping you must choose self-arranged shipping at checkout. If you checkout via Lodestar Auctions this does not apply. I apologize if this is confusing, Live Auctioneers purposely arranged it this way to push their own overpriced shipping service. We are not happy about this and are trying to make it work.
Issues:
All items sold as is. We do our best to describe accurately and take plenty of non-touched up photos to best represent the item. Any lost or damaged item due to shipping must go through the carriers. Buyer pays any return shipping costs regardless of situation.
Thanks for your patronage and happy bidding!
