Republic of Mexico markings on breech, 3-line patent on tang, 30" bbl with rod bayonet fit into steel nose cap/bayonet adaptor, long range rear sight, good and complete overall, traces of finish in protected areas, attached buff leather sling, good action, good rifled bore. 2) Cal. 50CF. NSN. "USN / SPRINGFIELD / 1870" on frame, Mexican unit initials on top of breech, 32.5" barrel with bayonet lug on bottom, missing ram rod, heavily weathered forestock, iron patina "as found", discernible markings, action functions, dirty rifled bore, heavily scuffed stock. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of photo from Remington Arms collection showing Mexican inspectors marking guns and drawing of the stamp used. CONDITION: as described.
