About Artist Agbalaya Abdulahi Opeyemi, born in Lagos, Nigeria, is a versatile artist and graduate of Yaba College of Technology. His artistic journey began with training under Mr Owolabi Samson in 2013/2015, furthering his skills and knowledge under the mentorship of Akinola Taoheed Olaitan. Balancing art as a hobby and a potential career. Opeyemi’s use of shapes, colors, and composition in his works conveys a connection message. The shapes represent life’s difficulties, while the colors define the dynamics of life. Employing black as a background color symbolizes the dark shadows of life, while brighter colors like purple signify strength, ambition, creativity, and hope. The overall composition speaks of success, fulfillment, and the satisfaction derived from achieving one’s dreams. Opeyemi’s creations carry a unique message “ FACE YOUR FEARS “ He aims to encourage individuals plagued by fears induced by challenges, struggles, doubt, failure, or mistakes.
