-Massive, hard-edge abstract painting by renowned modern artist LOUIS COMTOIS (1945-1990; Canadian / American, New York), titled "Two Panels - Black with Reds", created in 1972. Acrylic paint on stretched canvas (two panels joined). Original Henri 2 Gallery (Washington, DC) label attached verso.
-Approximate dimensions: 72" high, 72" wide, 2" deep.
-Very good condition with light wear, some accretion, and minor surface blemishes. Cleaning or restoration has not been attempted by us.
-Note: The apparently lighter areas (especially in the black section) are not so pronounced or visible in person.
-Colors: red, black, maroon / burgundy.
