Description: The Jewish Chronicle map of Israel'. This map illustrates the first borders of the newly established State of Israel. Dated November 1949, it depicts the "Green Line", the demarcation line established by the Armistice Agreements of early 1949. The boundary is noted as "subject to alteration" and based on UN Security Council Official Records, Ref. UN/1302/Rev.1, dated 20 June 1949. Israel had been admitted to the United Nations on 11 May 1949. . Produced under direction of Alexander Gross. Published November 1949. Vintage folding colour map. Size 101 x 76 cm | 39.5 x 29.5 inches. Condition: Good; suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
