Description

Terra-cotta sculpture of the Earth Mother circa 1950s. Standing full frontal with small drapery at knees, small globe, planet in 50's abstraction of the universal. Steel mounted to table display. Terra cotta /Stoneware clay body with thick walls, and body weight for indoor or outdoor mild climates. Chiseled and carved surface in Mid Century Brutalist form. Size 33" tall on a steel base 8" by 8". Figure 8" wide at hip level. Waxed surface. Made as a wall-mounted artwork. No signature.
