These vintage Vermont Tubbs snowshoes are a classic piece of winter outdoor gear originating from the company's production era in Wallingford, Vermont, between 1932 and the late 20th century.

The markings "8 x 40 S4indicate the physical dimensions of the snowshoe in inches"”8 inches wide by 40 inches long. S4 is a specific model designation used by Vermont Tubbs.
They are crafted from white ash wood frames with hand-woven rawhide webbing (babiche) and
original leather bindings.

Excellent vintage condition

While they are in working condition they are often used as wall decor inside on a wall, above fireplace or outdoors beside or on a front door from a cabin, ranch, farmhouse, or mountain home.
