Very famous dessert plate set for the king Louis Philippe representing several very known castle from all over France , mainly castles that belong to the king family , you will find Fontainebleau ,Chambord , le petit Trianon of Versailles and many more , every plate is hand painted signed by the artist , on the back you will find a Sevres stamp and date 1830 the king Louis Philippe stamp and the chateau des Tuileries stamp, where this set was made for ,the castle was across the Louvre and has been destroyed during a revolution in 1871 , also hand written you will find the name of the castle . Very well painted you will find fine and realist decors full of wonderful details and splendid colors , the trim is in the famous Sevres cobalt bleu with a stunning gilded decor , splendid quality this is for sure a stunning set .Size of the plate 9.5" . It is rare to find this set complete so this is a windfall opportunity especially in this condition
