Description
Set of 12 Mintons "˜Gold Crocus' Luncheon Plates, 9", England, circa 1920s
A refined and elegant set of twelve luncheon or dessert plates by Mintons, crafted in England circa 1920s. These 9-inch plates are part of the celebrated "˜Gold Crocus' pattern"”an understated yet sophisticated design featuring a stylized golden crocus motif at the center, framed by deeply molded, spiral-fluted rims and a richly enameled gilt edge.
The warm ivory ground provides a perfect canvas for the rich metallic detailing, which is hand-applied and beautifully preserved. The swirl-molded edges catch the light with subtle movement, giving the plates a dynamic and sculptural presence whether on display or in use.
Each plate is fully marked on the verso with the Mintons crown and globe hallmark and pattern number H4765, verifying their authenticity and early 20th-century origin. Ideal for formal entertaining, elegant tablescapes, or display in a china cabinet, these plates also mix beautifully with other gilded porcelain and neutral-toned wares.
