Title: Oil painting The yard was covered with snow Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA4037This oil painting cardboard, titled "The yard was covered with snow", the artist uses a rich, textured impasto technique, creating a highly expressive and dynamic surface where every stroke contributes to the overall depth and atmosphere of the composition. At the center of the painting, a traditional wooden house with warm ochre walls and a snow-covered roof stands nestled among tall, bare trees. The house's walls are highlighted with warm, golden tones, suggesting the presence of light and warmth inside. Small windows, partially obscured by the thick brushstrokes, hint at life within, perhaps a welcoming glow from a fire burning inside. The slanted roof is covered in a heavy layer of snow, depicted with thick, textured strokes of white and cool lavender, reflecting the crisp winter air. In the foreground, several tall trees frame the composition, their trunks painted in a mix of warm browns, oranges, and cool blues. The bold, expressive strokes capture the rough texture of the bark, while the branches extend upward, reaching toward the muted winter sky. The negative space between the trunks creates a sense of depth, drawing the viewer's eye further into the scene. Beneath the trees, the snow-covered ground is rendered with a harmonious blend of whites, blues, and soft grays, suggesting the uneven surface of the frozen earth beneath. Small red patches of color appear in the lower portion of the painting, possibly representing chickens or another farm animal, adding a subtle but lively contrast to the otherwise cool-toned composition. The background consists of a subdued sky, painted in soft greenish-blue hues with streaks of yellow, possibly hinting at the late afternoon sun breaking through the winter haze. This touch of color in the sky adds a sense of movement and dynamism to the otherwise still and serene winter setting. The painting evokes a strong sense of tranquility and nostalgia, transporting the viewer to a quiet countryside where winter slows time, and life moves in harmony with nature. The interplay of warm and cool tones, combined with the thick application of paint, creates a rich, tactile experience, making the scene feel both intimate and immersive.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "The yard was covered with snow"* ARTISTS: Oksana Kalenyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches' * MEDIUM: oil, cardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this productAbout the artists: Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
