The paintings are marked by drama, dynamic compositional solution, color saturation; on color landscapes life-affirming. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1960). Honored Artist of the USSR (1971). People's Artist of the USSR (1979). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). He was awarded a Diploma of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR and a medal. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1957), all-union (1961).
