Teachers by profession - O. Shovkunenko, V. Puzyrkov. Painter. He worked in the field of easel painting. He worked in the field of thematic paintings on historical themes, portraits and landscapes. The canvases are marked with drama, dynamic compositional solution, color saturation; life-affirming landscapes in color. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1960). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1971). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). Awarded with a Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR and a medal. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1957), all-Union (1961).
