Description:This is an excellent 2-page large plat map of downtown Cleveland as it stood in 1929. The plat map centers on Euclid Ave. and extends from 9th to 22nd Steet and from Superior Ave to Bolivar Rd. on south. The half-page on verso covers Euclid Ave between 100th and 107th St., adjacent to today's Cleveland Clinic location and Case Western Reserve University. Much detail is offered as to the various businesses occupying the buildinds -- retail stores, restaurants, theaters, banks, real estate firms, parking, etc. Nienstein, a real estate developer and atlas maker, published theses maps of the central and downtown portions of key cities in the US from the mid 1920s to the late 1950s. These maps are from Volume VIII of the Central States.
