Vintage Sterling Floral/Leaves Brooch/Pendant, Signed Sajen, 1980's-1990's. Gorgeous brooch with a carved mother-of-pearl blossom, two green leaves and amethyst pear-shaped cabochon with a peridot; amethyst; and labradorite or moonstone bezel-set stone each raised on the base of the brooch. There is also a peridot set in the middle of the mother-of-pearl blossom. There are two carved green leaves, not sure of the stone on them, believe this is malachite as you can see the subtle striping through the leaves. The base is sterling with ra ised edges and a divider and then many raised sterling half-beads seton the base and the leaves and stones are set higher with the blossom higher. It is appx. 2" by 1.7.5" at the widest point - it does not have a regular shape but curved and irregular which works with this brooch - it almost reminds me of a lily pad floating with these embelishments sitting on top. It is marked sterling and tests as sterling with a weight of appx. 26.24 grams and signed Sajen. The blossom is appx. 22.5mm the leaves are appx. 12mm wide and 14.5mm tall with the pear-shaped amethyst is appx. 12.5mm by 8mm and the round stones vary from appx. 3.5mm by 4.5mm.
