Vintage Brown/White Carved Leaf Brooch, C-Clasp, early 1900's. This has a shell-like look but I believe it is glass - uncertain. Maple leaf design that is appx. 1-5/8" tall and 1.5" wide. It has a hinged old-type pinback with c-clasp. there is brown and orangish/tan in the glass and it is curved and raised with leaf veining. At the botom of the leaf on the right, it is possible there is a chip on the tip - small but when you look at the area under magnificaton - it is not clear, there is a carved channel to the right and smooth finish - it is hard to tell but if there is a chip it would be very small. It's a very appealing brooch that is over a hundred years old. It is not signed or marked. Good condition to very good except for the question on the one small area just mentioned.
