Description
An exceptionally rare and interesting fast cine lens prototype, designed for 35mm cinema (covering 18×24mm), produced between May and December 1939. It never entered full production and is regarded as the fastest cine lens of the first half of the 20th century. This example has been professionally adapted for Canon EF mount, and is in good cosmetic condition, with very good optics with only minor cleaning marks. It comes with a rear lens cap. A comparable lens of this type is illustrated in the GOI lens construction book on page 39.05z. SN: 2856
