About the artist: Born on December 23 (10), 1914 on the Ivanivtsy farm (now the Poltava region). Graduated from: Kiev Art College (1934), Kiev Art Institute (1942). Teachers by profession - P. Kotov, K. Trokhimenko, S. Grigoriev, K. Eleva. He worked in the field of easel painting. Member of the National Union of Artists (1943). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1972). Member of the CPSU. Awarded with medals and a Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1945, all-Union since 1942, foreign since 1958 (in Poland, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Canada, Sweden), personal - Kiev, 1954, 1958, 1967. Major works: "Forcing the Dnieper" (1945); series "Dneproges" (1946); "The Land of Transcarpathia" (1946); "Dneprostroy is being restored" (1946-1947), "T. Shevchenko among the Kazakhs" (1948); "Forced Dnieper" (1947); "Open-hearth shop", "On the Tsimlyansk sea" (1951); "Evening on the Tsimlyansk Sea" (1953), "Morning" (1955); Volgo-Don Opened (1960); "Discovery of the Volgo-Don" (1960); Far from Ukraine (1961); In the land far beyond the Urals.
