One of the four chairs designed for the showroom of the Antwerp-based firm Haentjes (Plantijn-Moretuslei 60), which specialized in tiles and stonework.
This is the only chair remaining in private hands: two belong to the leather goods company Delvaux and one to the Design Museum in Brussels.
