To mark the launch of BBC Four, a distinct channel focused on arts and culture, the BBC commissioned fifteen British artists to create new works for the launch party. Gavin Turk created Turkish Tea Room, a pun on his surname and an appropriation of British tea drinking mirrored with the same culture in Turkey
