Raoul Dufy (1877 ?1953) was a French Fauvist painter, draftsman, printmaker, book illustrator, Scenic designer, he attends classes in art at Le Havre's ?cole d'Art and ?cole nationale sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts. He developed a colorful, decorative style that became fashionable for designs of ceramics and textiles. He is noted for scenes of open-air social events.
