leaves 4N3/4 ('Briefe Directions to learne the French Tongue') slightly sprung and trimmed at fore-edges,
errata leaf at rear, e
dges stained red,
original calf, modern antique-style calf reback with leather spine label,

In 1611 he compiled and published A Dictionarie of the French and English Tongues, a bilingual dictionary that represented a breakthrough at the time and remains historically important.
