A rustic Nineteenth Century English string holder in the form of a barrel.

The barrel is made of cherry wood. The string is dispensed through the hole at the top. The barrel opens by unscrewing the two sections.

The Barrel is in Very Good antique condition. It opens and closes easily. There is one crack in the top section as seen in the photos. It does not affect the proper functioning on the barrel. The Barrel has a rustic patina.
